Acceptance

WORLD PREMIERE:

BESLA Film Festival

November 7-10

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Acceptance is a short film that follows a black woman on the day of her mother’s funeral. As childhood memories flood her mind, she learns to accept her loss while remembering those things that brought them together.

Acceptance was created out of a need to give black women space to grieve and lean on one another instead of the expectation to handle it alone. A love letter to those we’ve loved and lost, Acceptance is a small part in a larger project where we will address the five stages of grief through the lens of various cultures.
