Formed by Charisse Woodall and Brie Eley, Marele Entertainment has created

and produced productions across a wide range of genres including political

satires, talk shows, sketch comedy and short films. The company aims to

incorporate multiple styles of comedy and dramatic themes into stories that

reflect the diversity of America.

Together their films have been screened across the country in Los Angeles,

Austin and New York, they are currently developing projects for television,

film, and their comedy sketches have been featured on the Funny or Die,

Comediva and across the web!

As actresses, Charisse and Brie have landed on both stage and screen. Charisse currently plays Bethany Hall on Bounce TV's #1 show, Saints and Sinners and recently played Evelyn Park opposite Viola Davis on ABC's How To Get Away With Murder. She has also appeared on The Mindy Project  (Fox) and Scandal (ABC).  Her most recent film, En Route, premiered at The Cannes Film Festival. She has also starred in Reflections, Roller Coaster, Holly, On This Night, No Hitter, Salud, and in two of Nelson George's projects Left Unsaid and HBO's Life Support.  Charisse is a graduate of the William Esper Studio in New York City and has worked with The Labyrinth Theater Company in New York and the Blank Theater in Los Angeles.  She graduated with honors from Penn State with a Bachelors in Economics.

 

Brie has been featured on Champions, 2 Broke Girls, The Mayor, Criminal Minds, and Grey's Anatomy. In the last year, she has appeared in the Oscar nominated short Dekalb Elementary and the multi-award winning film Night Call, which will next be seen at the Cannes Film Festival. She has performed in digital sketches for AOL/Huffington Post, Break Media, and Russell Simmons' All Def Digital. She was a founding member of the digital team 4Play Comedy LA, whose short film Password Deals advanced to the finals of the NBC ShortCuts festival.  Brie was also the writer and director of the film. She continues to perform onstage at theaters in Los Angeles including Second City, the Pack Theater, Comedy Central stage, iO West, and Skylight Theater. She studied at Oxford through the British American Drama Academy before graduating cum laude from Marymount Manhattan.
